Columbia, MO – Heart of Missouri United Way, an organization fighting for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our community, has promoted Amy Harvey to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  

In this role, Amy will expand her duties to advance and lead in budget forecasting, scenarios, and reserve projections. These duties will be connected to campaign processing including data entry of campaign envelope data and recurring credit card payments. She will also advance human resource policies and support for all staff, including directing the onboarding of new employees, managing the employee handbook, assisting with staff evaluations, and succession planning for all positions.

Amy has worked as the Director of Finance for Heart of Missouri United Way for the past two years. She came to United Way from Campus Advantage, where she was promoted from Assistant General Manager to General Manager, to Senior Property Manager to Area Manager of Operations during the four and a half years of her employment.  

She is an experienced business and finance manager and professional. She is skilled in budget management, financials, accounting, bookkeeping, reporting, and team building.  

Amy earned her Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University (WGU) Missouri. She received a bachelor’s degree in business and psychology from Central Methodist University.  She is a Licensed Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB).
