Columbia, MO, August 6, 2026 – Heart of Missouri United Way invites community members, partners, volunteers, and supporters to join an evening of celebration as the organization marks 80 years of serving Boone, Cooper, and Howard counties. The community celebration will take place on Thursday, August 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Kitchen Grill & Games, 3711 Discovery Parkway in Columbia.

The family-friendly event will feature a fun 1980s theme in honor of United Way’s 80th anniversary, with live music from The House Band, a performance from the Mid-Missouri High Steppers, complementary face painting and balloon art, games, a signature drink, a cornhole tournament, and a brief program recognizing the partners, volunteers, and donors who have helped strengthen the community over the past eight decades. ASL interpreters will be available throughout the event.
