When you interact with features on our Site — such as making a donation, signing up for our newsletter, or submitting an interest or program form — we collect the information you provide. This information is collected through third-party tools integrated into our Site (described below) and is received and retained by Heart of Missouri United Way.

Tools and Services We Use

  • Donations (GoodWorld): Donations made through our Site are processed by GoodWorld. Donor information and transaction details submitted through the GoodWorld donation widget are received by us and retained in our records.   • Newsletter Signup (Constant Contact): If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address and any other information you submit are collected through Constant Contact, our email marketing provider, and retained by us. We use this information to send organizational updates and news. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in any email we send.   • Give 5 Program Interest Form (Microsoft Forms): The interest form for our Give 5 retiree engagement program is hosted by Microsoft Forms. Information you submit is received by us and used to follow up regarding program participation. Please review Microsoft’s Privacy Policy for details.
  • ASPIRES Program — Quarterly Nonprofit Classes (Partner for Better / Corsizio): Sign-ups for ASPIRES quarterly nonprofit classes are managed by our partner organization, Partner for Better, through the Corsizio platform. Information submitted through those sign-up forms is subject to their respective privacy practices.
  • ASPIRES Program — CCAT Interest Form (SurveyMonkey): The Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) interest form is hosted on SurveyMonkey. Information submitted through that form is received by us and used to follow up with interested organizations. Please review SurveyMonkey’s Privacy Policy for details.
  • Anonymous Reporting (RedFlag Reporting): Our Contact page provides instructions for submitting anonymous reports through RedFlag Reporting, an independent third-party platform. Reports submitted through RedFlag are handled by that platform. We do not receive identifying information submitted through anonymous reports.   • Analytics (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager): We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to collect information about how visitors use our Site. These tools use cookies to gather data such as pages viewed, time on Site, and general location. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or by managing cookies through your browser settings.
  • Security Cookies (Cloudflare): Our hosting provider uses Cloudflare, which sets functional security cookies to protect the Site from malicious traffic. These cookies are not used for advertising or tracking.

Our Site links to external websites, including partner organizations, the United Way 211 resource directory, and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining donor records, responding to program inquiries, and meeting legal and recordkeeping obligations. Newsletter subscribers are retained in our system until they unsubscribe.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Our hosting environment includes security measures to help protect the Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
