Research & Data

Heart of Missouri United Way’s Community Impact work creates the highest return on your investment because it is based on data-driven investment decisions.

Our transition to the new service model included an extensive community assessment, including an issues analysis of key community and population data, an inventory of how the need is perceived in the community and the perceived role of the United Way, best practices of other Community Impact United Ways, future opportunities for community engagement and an inventory of current community resources.

All of our research is summarized in the Community Assessment Report.

The full data reports are available to the public. Please contact Alexa New, Community Impact Director, by phone (573.443.4523) or e-mail (anew@uwheartmo.org).

Our 2011 Community Assessment Report and full data reports are made possible through a special partnership between Heart of Missouri United Way, the City of Columbia/Boone County Division of Human Services, University of Missouri Truman Public Policy Institute, and through a special in-kind gift from PURE marketing and media.  Special thanks to these amazing collaborators and to our Anonymous Donor for supporting our Community Impact work!
