Columbia Loves CMA Awards & Imagination Library!

Fans Celebrate Award Winners and Donate $28,000 to Childhood Literacy Project!

Nearly 200 country music fans jammed into Columbia’s Sports Zone Restaurant on November 9 to watch country music’s biggest stars perform on 30 television screens while offering their support for Columbia’s Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which sends more than 3,500 books to Columbia preschool children every month free of charge.  The event raised more than $28,000 for the early childhood literacy program.

Guests enjoyed fine food, voted for their favorite country stars and bid on numerous country music themed auction items, including a Roadie for a Day package for the upcoming Rascal Flatts concert, a CMA Awards Insider Lunch with Clear 99’s Scotty and Carissa (CMA Radio Personalities of the Year), and a New Year’s Eve Trip to Nashville to see the Zac Brown Band.
Event sponsors included Shelter Insurance, DeSpain Cayce Dermatology Center and Medical Spa,
US Bank, Carl Edwards Motor Sports, AdVentures, VAMortgageCenter.com, ABC 17/KMIZ, Clear 99 and Inside Columbia magazine.
